Super 8 by Wyndham Newport News

We were pleasantly surprised to see our room. Well lighted and clean. Compared to other Super 8s, so much nicer. Still a basic room but had been recently renovated in places. Dresser held a large flatscreen with the channels posted nearby. Bathroom had new toilet and lighted vanity. Down sides were no coffee maker or hair dryer. Although we were able to get one at the office. Office staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff at this hotel are super friendly and helpful. They provided the necessary materials. They cleaned the room daily, and they were very respectful of our materials if something was left in their way. Beds and pillows were soft. Clean towels were provide every day. Great location!

Rooms are being redone and when we checked in our room had a couple things still needed ingot to be fixed. The manager came up and gave us a new room checked old room and agreed we needed a new one. She checked new room with us and everything was good. Staying 2 days but just need place to sleep. Area is great walking distance to food, gas station and groceries. Hotel is being redone so it's looking nice. Our first night is tonight I think we will be good thoigh! And beds are comfy! Ac worked good.

The service was good and the staff was very nice. Was here from Missouri and Georgia and first time being in Virginia and we stayed 2 nights and I enjoyed my stay.

Driving up the place looked run down at first we were considering going elsewhere. However the rooms were actually not bad. Everything was completely renovated and brand new top to bottom. Did not expect so much for the price. If you are looking for amenities there aren't too many at the hotel. However it's hard to find something decent for the price. Very pleased

I enjoyed my stay here. Mostly everything was cleaned except for the shower walls; it looked like makeup or something was on the walls but overall I was satisfied with my stay. The bed is top notch and extremely comfortable. I would recommend and or stay again.

Didn't stay there but have walked by plenty of times and lives the gypsy life so long to tell you that it a normal cheap vacation stay like anywhere else. I so know the rooms were remodeled and looks great from the outside and been told and seen with my own two eyes look very homely and comfortable inside. Very clean and organized motel. Alil on the expensive side- preferring to The location and type of people that occupy the premises... Newly renovated rooms so the living cost is still pricey..

I had a stay here recently and it was pretty decent. The service was a bit bad though. They had a vending machine, but wouldn't tell us where it was cause they didn't own it. The room we stayed in was a bit nice though. It had a coffee mug, and a nice bathroom. Though, there were a bunch of little disgusting things around the room. There pool was really good. It had reasonable times, and nice pool cleaners. We were swimming and the pool was getting ready to close, but someone said we could stay an extra 30 minutes. The location was also amazing. Just across the road was a McDonald's. The McDonald's was pretty bad though. (Don't recommend it) One day they were out of something, next day they were out of something else! Staying here was decent, definitely recommend this.
